As an enterprising university, University Al-Azhar Indonesia (UAI) puts forward the importance of entrepreneurship for students as entrepreneur. By upholding religious values, UAI hoped that it could encourage the younger generation to change the nation’s future. Sharia Economic Community (MES) DKI Jakarta as an organization that focuses on the economic and financial system with Islamic teachings, signed a Memorandum of Understanding with UAI on Sunday (30/01) attended at the Buya Hamka Hall, Al Azhar Grand Mosque.
This occasion was attended by Vice-Rector IV for Innovation and Cooperation, Dr. Ir. Ade Jamal; Chairman of MES DKI Jakarta, Mr. Tito Maulana; and Chairman of the Central Executive Board (PP MES), Mr. Erick Tohir also gave some remarks.
There are four areas of entrepreneurship development programs contained in the Memorandum of Understanding, the areas are as follows : (1) Tourismpreneur (Entrepreneurs in the Tourism Sector); (2) Travelpreneur (Entrepreneur in the Field of Travel; (3) Moslempreneur (Muslim Entrepreneur); and (4) General (All fields related to entrepreneurship).
However, the types of entrepreneurship development program activities that are developed consistently are in these activities : (1) Classes/Workshops; (2) Seminars; (3) Socialization; and etc. Regarding the technical implementation and the program schedule would be determined at each pre-activity by both parties.
UAI the with MES DKI Jakarta would create synergies to encourage the development of entrepreneurship, especially for the younger generation.
