University Al-Azhar Indonesia (UAI) continues to expand its global academic engagement through the participation of its staff, Mrs. Nadya Mara Adelina, in the Erasmus+ Staff Mobility Program hosted by Daugavpils University, Latvia, from May 12 to 16, 2025.
Mrs. Nadya, who serves as a lecturer and Head of the Sub-Research Division at UAI, was selected as the university’s sole representative after a competitive internal selection process. Her participation reflects UAI’s strong commitment to fostering international collaboration and academic innovation.
Empowering Academic Exchange and Global Collaboration
Through this program, Mrs. Nadya had the opportunity to engage with scholars and professionals from diverse academic and cultural backgrounds. The one-week mobility program included lectures, workshops, and panel discussions that explored emerging topics in global education, micro-credentials, and the integration of AI in micro-teaching.
“The sessions on micro-credentials and AI-based teaching were particularly inspiring and relevant to my work as a lecturer,” Nadya shared. “I look forward to implementing these insights and sharing them with my colleagues to enhance innovative teaching strategies at UAI.”
Beyond the classroom sessions, Nadya also participated in laboratory visits and collaborative research discussions, where she explored opportunities for joint projects and potential student participation in future international research initiatives.
Strengthening Institutional Cooperation
During her visit, Mrs. Nadya also took part in discussions with Daugavpils University representatives to explore possibilities for future institutional cooperation, including joint research initiatives and exchange programs between the two universities.
“This program was a valuable opportunity to build international networks and strengthen UAI’s presence in the global research community,” Nadya added. “I am grateful for the experience and fully support the continuation of Erasmus+ initiatives for staff and academic development.”
UAI’s Commitment to Internationalization
Participation in the Erasmus+ program is part of UAI’s broader vision to become a globally engaged Enterprising University, committed to nurturing excellence in research, teaching, and global collaboration. The experience gained through staff mobility programs such as this one enhances UAI’s capacity to innovate and to contribute meaningfully to international academic discourse. (DA)
