University Al Azhar of Indonesia (UAI) and Center for Seed Development and Plant Protection, Office of Food Security, Maritime Affairs and Agriculture of DKI Jakarta organized a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signing ceremony on March 29, 2021. The Covid-19 Pandemic did not waver UAI and Center for Seed Development and Plant Protection of Jakarta volition as this collaboration executed in order to establish an official relationship and to explore cooperation prospect between each party.
The signing of MoU was signed by Prof. Dr. Ir. Asep Saefuddin, M.Sc. as the Rector of UAI and Ir. Ali Nurdin, MM, as the Head of The Technical Executive Unit of Center for Seed Development and Plant Protection of Jakarta. At the same time, UAI Vice-Rectors, Deans and Head of Study Programs thoroughly partook in this ceremonial moment.
In Prof. Asep Saefuddin remarks, he elaborated on UAI openness for collaboration between each party in research, students internship, webinar and etc. Prof. Asep further appreciated the Center for Seed Development and Plant Protection, Office of Food Security, Maritime Affairs and Agriculture of DKI Jakarta will to formalize their cooperation in the midst of Covid-19 Pandemic.
In her reply speech, Ir. Suhairni Eliawati, M.Si. as the Head of Office of Food Security, Maritime Affairs and Agriculture of DKI Jakarta also expressed her gratitude as UAI willing to take part in establishing their official collaboration and hoped for a productive and long cooperation with the MoU signed. Ir. Suhairni further outlined Office of Food Security, Maritime Affairs and Agriculture of DKI Jakarta programs to help Jakarta fishermans, farmers and civilian who were impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic and the collaboration between UAI and Office of Food Security, Maritime Affairs and Agriculture of DKI Jakarta can further help Jakarta people who are in need.
The MoU signing ceremony come to an end after group photo and closing prayer was carried out. The MoU signing between UAI and Center for Seed Development and Plant Protection, Office of Food Security, Maritime Affairs and Agriculture of DKI Jakarta beckoned respective parties intention to advance their capabilities.
