The National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) is a non-ministerial government agency that is under and responsible to the President of Indonesia which handled government affairs in the field of Research and Technology Ministries. The agency was founded in 2019 by President Joko Widodo as the of the Indonesian Institute of Sciences (LIPI).
UAI and LIPI have collaborated since 2017. To extend the cooperation between UAI and LIPI which is now known as BRIN, UAI held an online meeting on November 23, 2021. The meeting was attended by UAI leaders, UAI Faculty of Science and Technology, UAI Directorate of Partnership, Deputy for Human Resources Science and Technology of BRIN, Edy Giri Rachman Putra, Ph.D., Pbt. Director of Talent Management of BRIN Raden Arthur Ario Lelono, Ph.D. and Plt. Head of the Legal and Cooperation Bureau of BRIN Mila Kencana, S.IP., MA. Both parties discussed the implementation of activities or programs from the Faculty of Science and Technology, especially the Study Program of Biology to took part in supporting Program Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM).
