In the modern education landscape, universities are tasked to provide high-quality education, state-of-the-art facilities enriching internationalization programs, global standard research, sustainable community service, and internationally relevant curricula to ensure students are prepared to face the challenges of the interconnected world. Nevertheless, to achieve this, universities need to collaborate and that’s what the University Al-Azhar Indonesia (UAI) and Kocali Health and Technology University (KOSTU) attempt to do.
Building Blocks

On January 22, 2025, KOSTU delegations that were led by the Rector, Prof. Dr. Muzaffer Elmas, visited UAI. Then, officials from UAI, Dr. Yusup Hidayat, S.Ag., M.H., Dean of Faculty of Law, Dr. Mohamad Ghozali Moenawar, Lc., M.M., Head of The Office of International Affairs and Partnership, and Dr. Aris Machmud, S.E., Ak., M.Si., M.H., Secretary of the Master of Law Study Program. They were led by Prof. Dr. Ir. Asep Saefuddin, M.Sc., Rector of UAI, the discussion revolved around the respective parties intention to sign MoU and MoA.
The MoA will become an umbrella that covers activities such as joint research and publication along with the exchange of staff, students, and lecturers. With that in mind, this partnership and its activities will not only enhance UAI and KOSTU students’ capacity but also put Turkey and Indonesia education collaboration at the forefront.
Awarding Session

After the discussion of collaboration came to an end, it ushered in an awarding session between respective leaders, both Prof. Asep and Prof. Muzaffer exchanged gifts to appreciate the goodwill of each institution.
Conclusion

With the awarding session concluded, the group photo took place and the endearing visit from KOSTU sadly ended as well. Regardless, the visit has born a strong will to cultivate profound and concrete collaboration between respective institutions in order to enhance Indonesian and Turkish students that are suited to the academic and industrial international standards.
