For the past eight years, the University Al-Azhar Indonesia (UAI) has had a deeply rooted and active collaboration with Thai universities such as the University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce (UTCC) and Prince of Songkla University (PSU), ranging from comparative study, reciprocal Master Degree scholarship and visiting lecture. Therefore, Thai universities have become key partners for the UAI Internationalization programs. On March 13, 2025, Krirk University visited UAI to explore potential collaboration between respective institutions.
Building Blocks
On that day, Krirk University representative from Indonesia, Morissa S. Ridhowati was received by the Head of the Office of International Affairs and Partnership of UAI, Dr. Mohamad Ghozali Moenawar, Lc., M.M. Morissa introduced Krirk University’s credibility and the collaboration they wish to venture.
Krirk University is a private university that was established in 1952 and since then, we have been awarded with 5 stars in the QS World University Rankings and ranked 5th best universities in Thailand. As one of the leading universities in Thailand, we would be honored to work together in Seminar and other possibilities such as exchange students, because we have a lot of international students, most of them studying Halal Industry and Business. That is why, with your profile as an Islamic university, it’s a momentous time for our university to work together.
Afterward, Dr. Ghozali warmly welcomed Krirk University initiatives and would love to collaborate concretely with them.
We are honored that your university wants to collaborate with us, we’re open to working together with every university and Krirk University’s initiatives are great. Additionally, we would for you to send us your proposal on what program we can explore concretely and I believe we first need to sign agreements such as MoU, MoA, and IA. Then, we can venture into a joint degree for our Management Study Program and short course.
Conclusion

As the discussion came to an end, it was concluded with a group photo. The discussion sparked a lively discussion on what respective institutions can venture on, it’s a bright start into what hopefully is a profound, productive and cordial collaboration between UAI and Krirk University. Aamiin (BR)
