One month has passed since an enriching initial talk between the University Al-Azhar Indonesia (UAI) and Krirk University, wherein both parties discussed the possibilities of collaborating in seminars and exchanging students. On April 15, 2025, Krirk University again visited UAI to explore potential collaboration projects.

Laying the Groundwork

Krirk University was represented by its representative from Indonesia, Morissa S. Ridhowati, and Mr. Taufik. They were received by the Head of the International Collaboration Division, Muchammad Nasucha, S.S., M.Si.., and Head of the Partnership Division, Nova Andrianto Saputra, S.E., M.I.Kom. Mr. Taufik expounded on the promising prospect of Krirk University’s Halal focus, which was driven by Thailand’s large market for the halal industry.

Thailand boasts a massive halal industry market, as many Thai universities have opened Halal-centric programs and the government has a pro-halal policy. Krirk University was the first university to start this trend. Now, we’ve the opportunity to explore exchange students, joint research, and scholarships for the Halal Industry, Islamic Finance, Halal Management, Hajj and Umrah Service Management.

Both Mr. Nasucha and Nova warmly welcome the prospect of this collaboration and asked Krirk University to send the Halal Industry project that they’ve worked on and their curriculum on the aforementioned halal-focused study programs to further explore the possibilities respective parties can work on.

Conclusion

As the discussion comes to an end, Krik University would gladly send its halal projects and curriculum to UAI in the near future. In that regard, the exploration of collaboration between UAI and Krirk University has taken a step to the right direction. Aamiin. (BR)
