For the past few years, the University Al-Azhar Indonesia has established a historic collaboration with myriad partners, such as the Imam Foundation, Daugavpils University, Tohoku University, etc. The cooperation with Tomsk State University (TSU) also falls into this category. On November 29, 2024, University Al-Azhar Indonesia, TSU, Govcom Consulting, and Nexus Risk Mitigation and Strategic Communication agencies created an open multicultural community.
Opening Remarks Session
The event began with opening remarks by Artyom Y. Rykun, the Vice-Rector for International Affairs, TSU, wherein he underscored the importance of partnership between TSU and Indonesian universities along with its companies. Looking back at his work with Indonesian students, successful integration of foreign students is imperative for their learning process and integration into the professional landscape.
Open Multicultural Community Session
After the opening remarks session finished, it ushered an open multicultural community session wherein Ms. Ruvira Arindita, S.I.Kom., M.Si, Secretary of Communication Science Study Program, UAI, took the stage to present her presentation on “Strategic Marketing and Public Relations”. She expounded the Departement of Communication of UAI and its committed to developing a robust cooperation with TSU in the sphere of international mobility and student training.
Then, the head of the PR agency Govcom consulting, an associate professor at the University of Indonesia Irwan Hermawan, and a representative of Nexus Risk Mitigation and Strategic Communication agency Rizha Al Zahra also shared Ms. Ruvira’s enthusiasm to collaborate with TSU and UAI in order to provide them with assistance in the training of Indonesian students at TSU.
Conclusion
With the statement of intents of all parties having been put forward, the collaboration between respective parties to equip TSU and UAI students with a sound integration plan and professional capacities training will surely advance all involved parties’ international pedigree and capacity.
