On 23-27 September 2017, Ratih Nurfitri (A student from Chinese Department), Azzahra Putri Islami (Student from Islamic Guidance Counselor ), Muhammad Wicaksono (Student of International Relations Department), and one lecturer Tri Budianingsih, SS, M.Pd all from Universitas Al Azhar Indonesia (UAI) attended the 2nd Asian-African Youth Festival in Beijing and Xi’an, China. The event, held by the All-China Youth Federation, aims to remind young people in Asia-Africa of the Asian-African Conference held in Bandung, Indonesia in 1955, as well as to remind young people in Asia-Africa about the good relations that exist between and hope that these Asian-African youths can continue that good relationship in the future.
The event was attended by 400 youth from 20 countries in Asia and 20 countries in Africa. Delegates from Indonesia were numbered 10 people, apart from UAI, there were also representatives from Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs staff (2 persons), representatives from Indonesian Ministry of Tourism Staff (1 person), representatives from a company (1 person), journalist representatives from newspaper Rakyat Merdeka (1 person) and representatives from other private universities (1 person).
