To commemorate Kashmir Blackest Day, Pakistan Embassy Jakarta and University Al-Azhar Indonesia (UAI) launched a book, which is entitled ” Hubungan Bilateral Indonesia – Pakistan: Solidaritas Muslim, Diplomasi Budaya dan Perhatian Strategis Isu Kashmir ” on Thursday (27/10).
The book has been written by Yasmi Adriansyah, Ph.D, Faradesiva Angger, S.IP., and Ramdhan Muhaimin, M.Soc.Sc (ed). As a part of collaboration project of Pakistan Embassy Jakarta and UAI via Center for Policy, Business, and International Studies (CPBIS) UAI, the book itself is expected to refresh the memory of friendship between Pakistan and Indonesia, to raise the awareness of Jammu-Kashmir conflict to Indonesian youth, especially the students.
It would be instrumental that this book would be in developing the interest of Indonesians in South Asia, in particular, Kashmir,” said the authors.
During the launch, The Rector of UAI, Prof. Dr. Ir. Asep Saefuddin, M.Sc., M.Sc. spent his time attending the event which took place in The Pakistan Embassy, South Jakarta as his appreciation to the UAI’s Lecturers and alumni who were involved in writing the book.
To enhance the awareness of the Indonesian about the issue, the newly published book would be very helpful and would open new horizons”, Prof Asep stated during his speech.
On the occasion, the Pakistan Ambassador to Indonesia, HE Mr. Muhammad Hassan, indicated his gratitude for the support of UAI throughout Indonesia and Palestine relations. In his remarks, he said that it was an honour to host this Memorial Day. It was a hard time 75 years ago for the State of Jammu and Kashmir. The Honourable also added by reminiscing those days are a kind of tribute that we can give as the citizens of the world.
Mr. Yasmi Adriansyah, Ph.D as one of the authors expressed his gratefulness to the support that the team had received from Pakistan Embassy in Jakarta in providing the source material and everything to compile the book
As the end of the event, The Rector of UAI received a placard from HE Mr. Muhammad Hassan and the book signing by the author as the symbol of the book hand-over to Pakistan Embassy Jakarta.
Also participating to the event, Dr. Heri Herdiawanto, S.Pd. M.Si (Dean of Faculty of Social and Political Science), Mohamad Ghozali Moenawar, Lc., M.M. (Head of Office of International Affairs), Muchammad Nasucha, S.S., M.Si. (Head of the Division of Academic, Research, and Industrial Cooperation), International Relation students’ class of 2021 from UAI (TSH).
