University Al-Azhar of Indonesia (UAI) and National Nuclear Energy Agency of Indonesia (BATAN) organized the signing of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Education, Research and the development of Science in the Field of Nuclear Technology. At the same time, UAI and BATAN also signed Cooperation Agreement on Education, Research, and Development of Nuclear Science and Technology Utilization in Agriculture.
The signing ceremony was conducted on July 28, 2021 and was done through online meeting, wherein the Vice Rector II of UAI, Dean of the Faculty of Science and Technology, Director of Cooperation and relevant Head of Study Programs are in attendance. The MoU were signed by Prof. Dr. Ir. Asep Saefuddin, M.Sc. as the Rector of UAI and Prof. Dr. Ir. Anhar Riza Antariksawan as the Head of BATAN.
Whereas the Cooperation Agreement was signed by Ir. Hidayat Yorianta Sasaerila, M.Sc., Ph.D. as the Dean of the Faculty of Science and Technology of UAI and Dr. Roziq Himawan, M.Eng as the Head of Center for Application of Technology of Isotope and Radiation (PAIR) of BATAN. The MoU and Cooperation Agreement signing ceremony come to an end after group photo and prayers conducted.
The MoU and Cooperation Agreement between UAI and BATAN will encompass the scope of education, research, community service, capacity development and internship. Therefore, The MoU and Cooperation Agreement among both institution were their will and endeavor to improving themselves while simultaneously contributing to Indonesia and its society.
