Visiting University of Illinois at Chicago

On May 13, 2014, Director of Al Azhar Indonesia University, Dr. Hidayat YS visited the office of International Services of the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC), located at 1200th West Harrison St. Chicago, IL. The purpose of this visit is to introduce UAI and to explore potential collaboration between the two universities. At UIC, Dr. Hidayat was greeted by Dr. James Hammerschmidt, the executive Director of the OIS.

University of Illinois at Chicago is one of the top 200 institutions in the world, now has about 27.500 students, has about 3000 international students. As stated by UIC chancellor, Paula Allen-Meares, UIC offers excellent academic opportunities in a wide array of undergraduate majors and minors, and graduate and professional programs. Specifically for International students Paula assures: “People of many different countries of origin, languages, religions, races and ethnicities, and points of view  call UIC home”
